At Borough 22 we take the safety and quality of our doughnuts seriously. All of our doughnuts are certified gluten-free using the ELISA method of testing, ensuring they meet the highest standards for gluten-free certification. What’s more, our doughnuts are entirely plant-based, making them suitable for a wide range of dietary needs.
Many common allergens such as eggs, dairy, and nuts are traditionally used in dough recipes. However, here at Borough 22 all of our products allergen-friendly, made with carefully sourced ingredients including gluten-free oats (containing avenin).
Our bakery is also a completely nut-free facility and we do not use nuts in any of our products and there is no risk of cross-contamination within our production environment. While we take every possible precaution, please note that we cannot guarantee our raw ingredients have not come into contact with nuts earlier in the wider supply chain.
