I’m Ryan Panchoo, founder of Borough 22, an inclusive treats brand I started in my home kitchen for my children. What began as a personal mission has grown into a trailblazing business redefining what free-from indulgence can look and taste like.
I’ve built Borough 22 into a category leader, with our concession in Selfridges Oxford Street Food Hall, nationwide delivery, and regular appearances at major pop-ups and festivals across the UK. As a self-taught baker turned entrepreneur, I’ve focused on innovation, strong brand identity, and building a loyal community around exceptional treats that happen to be free-from.
Along the way, our story and products have been featured by the BBC, Vogue, The Independent, and The Guardian. I’m passionate about creating a brand with purpose, one that champions inclusion, challenges perceptions, and brings joy to people who are often overlooked by the food industry.
As a Black founder, I’m committed to using my platform to advocate for greater representation and to demonstrate what’s possible when passion, purpose, and perseverance come together.
