About us

I’m Ryan Panchoo, founder of Borough 22, an inclusive treats brand I started in my home kitchen for my children. What began as a personal mission has grown into a trailblazing business redefining what free-from indulgence can look and taste like.

I’ve built Borough 22 into a category leader, with our concession in Selfridges Oxford Street Food Hall, nationwide delivery, and regular appearances at major pop-ups and festivals across the UK. As a self-taught baker turned entrepreneur, I’ve focused on innovation, strong brand identity, and building a loyal community around exceptional treats that happen to be free-from.

Along the way, our story and products have been featured by the BBC, Vogue, The Independent, and The Guardian. I’m passionate about creating a brand with purpose, one that champions inclusion, challenges perceptions, and brings joy to people who are often overlooked by the food industry.

As a Black founder, I’m committed to using my platform to advocate for greater representation and to demonstrate what’s possible when passion, purpose, and perseverance come together.

My Mission at Borough 22

Safety First

Our treats are more than just a free-from alternative. They're created with care to be free from the most common allergens, giving people the confidence to indulge and share life's sweet moments with peace of mind.

Inclusive by Design

No one should feel left out. That's why we create treats that are as beautiful as they are delicious, bringing people together regardless of dietary requirements and making inclusion effortless.

Uncompromising Taste

Free-from should never mean missing out. Every treat is crafted to deliver exceptional flavour, texture and indulgence from the first bite to the last. No compromises, just pure joy that happens to be free-from.
