I’m Ryan Panchoo, founder of Borough 22, a free-from doughnut brand I started in my home kitchen for my kids, who live with multiple allergies. What began as a personal mission has grown into a trailblazing business redefining what gluten-free and vegan indulgence can look and taste like.
I’ve built Borough 22 into a category leader, with our concession in Selfridges Oxford Street Food Hall, delivering nationwide and regularly appearing at major pop-ups and festivals across the UK. As a self-taught baker turned entrepreneur, I’ve focused on innovation, strong brand identity and building a loyal community around great-tasting products that happen to be free-from.
Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to have our story and products featured in outlets like BBC, Vogue, Independent and The Guardian. I’m passionate about creating a brand with purpose, one that champions inclusion, challenges perceptions, and brings joy to people who are often overlooked in the food space.
As a Black founder, I’m also committed to using my platform to advocate for greater representation and to show what’s possible when passion meets purpose
